FULL BIO

Nadia Santoro holds an Honours Bachelor of Music with Distinction from the University of Windsor where she pursued advanced piano studies under Dr. E. Gregory Butler. She won the 2016 Board of Governors Medal in Music for achieving the highest academic standing among her graduating class. Santoro made her debut with the Windsor Symphony Orchestra as First Pianist in Saint-Saëns’s The Carnival of the Animals under the baton of Maestro Robert Franz. She has enjoyed numerous opportunities to perform in piano masterclasses of esteemed artists such as Katherine Dowling, Sara Davis Buechner, and David Syme. 

Santoro earned her Associate Diploma in Performance with First Class Honours from the Royal Conservatory of Music in 2021 with a concert program including advanced works by Bach, Mozart, Mendelssohn, Debussy, Chopin, and Louie.

Inspired to cultivate her interests in Music History and Music Theory, Santoro attended Wayne State University and recently completed her Master of Arts in Music. Her graduate research focuses on the pedagogical piano music of Canadian composer, Alexina Louie. Throughout her graduate studies, Santoro served as a collaborative pianist for Caitlin Lynch’s vocal studio and earned several scholarships through teaching assistantships for undergraduate music history and music appreciation courses. 

Santoro teaches from her home studio in Windsor, Ontario. She has been an active member of the Windsor-Essex branch of the Ontario Registered Music Teachers’ Association since 2017, now serving as President as of June 2023. She devotes her time in her current role as Piano Coordinator of the Windsor-Essex Kiwanis Music Festival.
